Diabetic nerve disorder

Especially through long lasting high blood sugar levels, nerve damage can be developed that can lead  to dysaesthesia, misperceptions*, pain or numbness sensations. Small injuries, ingrown toenails, and deformities of the toes can be problematic since they may are not sufficiently felt under these circumstances.

For the assessment of sensory disturbances, we perform neurological examinations of the feet.
